I was aiming for cute, but it became a bit sad.  I imagine Chihiro, when she’s older, telling her parents that she’s sleeping over at a friend’s for the weekend just so she can go sneak up the hill and through the amusement park.  She’d have just enough time to go give Haku a hug and make it back out before nightfall traps her there.
